  Double Twisted Hexagonal PVC Coated Mesh

Thumbnail - Click for  Enlargment Designed specifically as rock netting and to arrest falling rock from encroaching onto roads, railways and other “traffic” areas, our mesh is constructed from pre-galvanised, plastic coated wire to the relevant standards.

The mesh features a double twist, which will not unravel should one wire be accidentally broken. As the wire is both pre-galvanised and plastic coated the mesh can be used in aggressive environments.

When secured with fibreglass bolts and non-metallic end plates the risk of damage to the coatings is greatly reduced, thereby preventing the ingress of corrosive elements.

Weldgrip also stock and supply a 3D Polymat erosion control geo-mat which can be used as a backing mesh. We can supply the Polymat ready attached to the rock netting, or separately.

Polymat is used to help sustain plant growth during initial planting stages and in order to prevent washout and soil erosion during heavy rainfall and strong winds.

Polymat is a three-dimensional structure

manufactured from three polypropylene meshes that have been extruded and subsequently orientated.

The mat has a tensile strength of 3.8 kN/m and a low unit weight which makes it ideally suited for installation on steep slopes.
