Typical Meshform Installation Process

CHECK THE SCHEDULE......

Check that you have a copy of the Meshform Formwork Schedule which is provided with the delivery. This will ensure that the units are used in the correct sequence, correctly placed and also act as a check list making life much easier for the installation team. Minimum equipment is required for installation - as provided in our installation kit.

1: Fit plastic spacers to the pile cap steelwork, after checkingspacer type and size listed on Groundwork schedule.

2: Offer up first pre-formed Meshform section to the spacers.

3: Offer up the second pre-formed section of Meshform to the steelwork.

4: Secure both Meshform sections together using tie wire.

5: Mark out opening area to take joining U-Section beam.

6: Cut down centre of steel mesh with wire cutters.

7: Cut through plastic film in the centre of opening and also along the bottom of the opening.

8: From top of steel mesh cut through every alternate wire to make bending easier.

9: After cutting through mesh along the bottom of the opening bend back to accept beam run.

10: Offer up U-Section beam into pile cap opening and secure with tie wire.

11: After fitting spacers on to beam steelwork fit into U-Section & tie to pile cap.
